Glasgow-based electronic post-punk duo Doss have released their self-titled debut EP via Alcopop! Records, blending sharp social commentary with distorted bass, fractured electronics and heavy rhythms.

The EP showcases their abrasive sound and biting Glaswegian lyricism to perfection, and the key theme running through it is the murky undercurrent beneath white-picket society. Deranged funk punk is how the band describe what they’ve created, and that sums it up perfectly.

Doss has built a thrilling reputation through relentless DIY touring and uncompromising performances, with recent support slots alongside Deadletter and Fat Dog, and early radio support from BBC 6 Music and KEXP. The EP captures that live energy without diminishing it: this is uncomfortable, funny, urgent music from a duo who seem genuinely unbothered about whether you can keep up.

For fans of Fat Dog, Deadletter, and Bob Vylan. Essential listening.
