Winter Gardens and Opal Mag will co-headline The Victoria in Birmingham on Thursday, 1st October, bringing together two of the most striking voices in dream-pop and shoegaze-tinged songwriting for a night of hazy atmospherics and raw emotional intensity.

Winter Gardens blend the hazy textures of dream-pop with the urgency and drive of post-punk, moving fluidly between shimmering shoegaze atmospheres and propulsive, rhythm-led intensity. Layers of reverb-soaked guitars and melodic basslines intertwine with driving percussion, creating a sound that feels both expansive and immediate, resulting in a distinctive “dreampunk” style that continues to resonate with audiences and critics alike.

With new music arriving throughout the year, a forthcoming EP and a headline UK tour on the horizon, Winter Gardens continue to establish themselves as one of the most exciting emerging voices in gothic, shoegaze and post-punk.

Joining them is Opal Mag, whose evocative songwriting draws on influences from Mazzy Star, The Sundays, The Breeders and The Smashing Pumpkins. Her latest offering follows lead single ‘Wasting’ from her forthcoming November EP, blending trademark hazy, atmospheric soundscapes that continue to captivate her growing fanbase.

Having previously supported acts including Black Honey, Overpass and Phoebe Green, Opal Mag’s early releases have already earned praise from key tastemakers such as NME, Stereogum, Dork, Clash, So Young, The Line Of Best Fit, Rough Trade, Rolling Stone UK and Under The Radar, as well as early airplay from BBC 6 Music, KEXP and Triple J.
